Reporting Structure

Reporting to: Sales Manager Supervision of: None Interact with: Employees

Main Duties

  • Scout B2B & B2C sales for the company

  • Visit potential clients such as EPC Contractors, Architects, Consultants, Dealers, Retailers, Stockist etc within Tanzania and generate sales leads

  • Attend various enquiries, prepare and submit proposals/quotations and pursue further to convert enquiries into orders

  • Coordination with vendors to seek quotations and other technical support required for proposals

  • Travel within Tanzania or for client meetings as and when needed

  • Coordinate within the company and outside agencies in order to implement the supply orders successfully, ensuring compliance to the time, cost and quality goals

  • Attend events and conclaves to tap new clients and develop product base

  • Update developments of market & intelligence on the competitors on a regular basis

  • Monitor and analysis customer preferences and market trends to determine the focus of sales efforts

  • Ensure account receivables for the sales booked, in collaboration with the accounts department

  • Assist in Branding and Promotional activities


Candidate Specification:

Education: Bachelors degree
Experience: 5 years
Skills: Interpersonal Skills , Marketing and Sales skills , Leadership skills , Negotiation skills , Detail Oriented
Ability to: Work under pressure , Providing clear and accessible technical information to senior management , Communicate and interact effectively on technical subject matter with non-specialists , Able to negotiate and interact at a senior level , accurately proofread marketing materials
Culture: Multicultural
Software:
Knowledge of: Extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and market trends.
Personality: Result oriented.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor Engineering from a premier institute, preferably Mechanical

  • 5-8 years of Experience in Sales and Marketing in the Water Sector

  • Must-Have Experience in Sales of Water Line Projects /Equipment (Water Meters, Pipe, Fittings etc.)

  • Proven track record in generating new business, following up on leads and identifying new projects

  • Knowledge about importers of Water Equipment like pipes & fittings, water meter, valves, pumps etc will be a plus.

  • An existing contact network with water equipment retailers, stockist  will be an added advantage

  • Candidate must be prepared to work under Quarterly Targets

  • Open for Domestic & International Travelling
