Main Duties

What you’ll do

Role purpose: 

• Ensure the successful delivery of technical programs and projects, align them with business objectives, and drive overall efficiency and effectiveness within an organization 
• Ensure that complex technical projects are delivered efficiently on time, and within budget, while meeting the strategic goals and objectives of the group. 
• Network CAPEX & OPEX budget planning and execution through implementation of cost optimization initiatives, effective program management and commercially driven network investment for maximization of financial returns.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership : 

• Project Delivery: Managing and delivering multiple, often simultaneous, technology projects from inception to completion.
• Strategic Delivery: Ensuring that technology projects align with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to its overall success.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating collaboration and reporting among different teams and stakeholders including partners, business units and senior management to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project stability
• Resource Management: Efficiently managing resources, including time, budget, and personnel, to optimize project outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring that deliverables meet the required quality standards and are fit for purpose.

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

• University Degree in Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration
• Advanced knowledge of telecommunications network & service architecture, trends and evolution
• Project management
• At least 5 years’ experience in Telecommunications or Technology Operations Management Inclusive of at least 3 years leadership/supervisory experience. 
• Proven experience of working with multiple suppliers / vendors / partners
• Proven experience of working in complex regulatory environment 
• IT background provides an added advantage
• End-to-end knowledge of Network Engineering processes.
