Main Duties

Description

• To drive new sales and revenue growth in a geographic territory and/or vertical industry.
• To prospect for new client relationships in the defined regional and/or geographic territory.
• To originate opportunities and achieve quota attainment in the data center/colocation business.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential opportunities within the data center and telecom industry.
• Analyse customer needs and preferences to develop targeted marketing strategies.

Lead Generation:

• Implement lead generation strategies to identify and cultivate potential clients within the data center and telecom sectors.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business goals and challenges.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay updated on the latest developments in data center and telecom technologies.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of products and services to potential clients.

Sales Presentations:

• Develop compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs of data center and telecom clients.
• Conduct product demonstrations and articulate value propositions to potential customers.

Collaboration with Technical Teams:

• Work closely with technical teams to understand product specifications and ensure accurate representation in marketing materials.
• Collaborate with technical experts to address customer inquiries and concerns.

Campaign Management:

• Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns targeted at the data center and telecom industry.
• Utilize various channels such as digital marketing, events, and advertising to promote products and services.

Sales Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the data center and telecom market.
• Identify and explore new business opportunities to expand market share.

Competitive Analysis:

• Monitor and analyse competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
• Provide insights to the management team for adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Reporting and Analytics:

• Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and marketing activities.
• Use analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.

Networking:

• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and stay informed about industry trends.

Contract Negotiation:

• Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring terms align with company policies and objectives.

Other Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent with commensurate experience.
• Minimum of two years proven work experience as a sales and marketing executive with direct business-to-business outside sales experience within a high-tech industry calling on medium-sized accounts.
• Desired but not essential: 1 + years' data center/colocation experience.
• Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies. Familiarity with the local marketplace, companies, and community in the geographic region of the company.
• A passion for sales.
