Main Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper stock control (FIFO/FEFO).
- Plan, organize, and optimize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency.
- Lead, supervise, and train warehouse staff; manage schedules and performance.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and transport teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Ensure all goods movement is properly documented (GRN, delivery notes, stock reports).
- Conduct routine stock counts and investigations of variances.
- Monitor warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure regular maintenance.
- Implement and enforce SOPs, safety procedures, and housekeeping (5S standards).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Tanzania OHS regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse operation reports.
- Reduce operational costs through process improvement and waste reduction.
- Manage dispatch schedules and ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
- Identify risks, resolve operational issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
Other Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 years of warehouse management experience (FMCG/Manufacturing preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Experience using ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.).
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
- Forklift operation knowledge is an added advantage.
