Main Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track inbound shipments from international suppliers.
- Coordinate booking of cargo with freight forwarders (air, sea, or land).
- Ensure timely dispatch and arrival of goods according to purchase orders.
- Prepare, review, and verify import documents:
- Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / AWB, COO, HS codes, Import Licenses, Insurance documents.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents to avoid delays or penalties.
- Maintain updated shipment and documentation records.
- Liaison with Custom department, Clearing Agent, Transporters and Inhouse Team (Sales / Accounts / Finance)
- Track shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Maintain KPIs such as transit times, clearance times, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports for management on shipment status and logistics performance.
- Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, finance, and sales departments.
- Provide ETAs and shipment documents to warehouse and planning teams.
- Support finance with duty / tax calculations and invoice reconciliation.
- Handle exceptions such as damaged cargo, missing documents, customs holds, and delayed shipments.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Other Requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor Degree in Logistics and Transport Management
- with 3 + years of experience
- Basic understanding of import procedures and international shipping terms (INCOTERMS).
- Knowledge of customs processes and import documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/logistics software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
