Job Summary:
- We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Audit Manager to lead internal audit operations within our fast-growing FMCG business in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning and execution of audits, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, and provide strategic recommendations for improving risk management and operational efficiency across all business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage internal audit engagements across sales, supply chain, finance, procurement, production, and HR departments.
- Assess and improve the effectiveness of internal controls, business processes, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential areas of risk, inefficiencies, or fraud, and provide practical recommendations for mitigation.
- Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented audit reports for senior management and the Board.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and monitor progress on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Supervise and mentor internal audit team members, including training and professional development.
- Stay informed about developments in audit standards, regulatory changes, and FMCG industry trends.
Other Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA/ACCA is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management frameworks, and financial controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and Kiswahili is a plus).
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
