Main Duties
Responsibilities
- Obtain accurate check list and check all documents to avoid errors, identify missing documents and identify potential issues like customs regulations.
- Manage customs documentation for clearing and forwarding.
- Liaising with accredited clearing agent for the clearing of goods at destination.
- Managing the movement of the consignments to the destination.
- Coordinating with custom authorities for various requirements connected to the vessels handling at the destined custom.
- Follow up with approved clearing agents to ensure timely clearance.
- Ensuring proper storage of import documentation such as certificates, customs bonds and others.
- Prepare daily progress report and share with the Head Office before the close of the business.
- Administering import procedures and documentation.
- Any other assignment that may be given from time to time by superior officers.
Other Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Clearing and Forwarding, Custom and Tax management or related field.
- At least three (3) years working experience in similar role.
- Prior background in Clearing and forwarding/Petroleum is a plus
- Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
