Job Scope
- To perform skilled and semiskilled electrical and mechanical work in the repair, maintenance, monitoring,modification and testing of gas driven internal combustion engines that power electric generators.
Responsibilities
- Collection, recording and monitoring control data.
- Troubleshooting engines, generators, and switchgears.
- Ensure safety measure and switch gear safety test are done as required.
- Assist in monitoring and maintenance of substation includes recording of meter reading.
- Ensure general cleaning of the power plant surround and substation.
- Attend PM activities at MCL when required during SSD.
- Monitor and report any deviating control data.
- Execute planned PM for SSD (scheduled shut down)
- Attend machine breakdown
- Report all accidents and near misses and ensure compliance to EHS
- Prepare all necessary reports and circulate on time
Other Requirements
Qualifications and Competencies
- Diploma in Electrical engineering.
- Competent in use of shop tools, test instruments and equipment
- Conversant with MS Office Excel
- Planning and organizing skills
- Problem solving skills
- Flexibility to work long working hours as and when required
Authority
- Prepare and circulate all reports
- Managing switching of the power system
- Report any accident/damage or theft
- Supervise contractor onsite activities
