Description
- We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our global team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple small businesses.
- As a Remote Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights that directly impact business decision-making. You will work with our international team, offering financial expertise to businesses across various industries.
This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts for multiple small businesses.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, payroll, and corporate tax submissions.
- Oversee bookkeeping processes and ensure accurate, timely financial record-keeping.
- Utilize Xero accounting software to streamline financial processes.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Generate financial reports and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions (mainly UK).
- Handle financial inquiries, gather and interpret data, and provide advisory support to business leaders.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.
Other Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a finance role.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with small businesses or startups in the UK.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero).
- Familiar with corporate accounting practices, tax laws, and multi-jurisdictional financial reporting.
- Able to leverage technology to improve and innovate finance processes.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A problem-solver and independent thinker.
- Experienced in working within busy, international teams.
