Main Duties
Summary:
- Group Financial Accountant Contractor will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting functions for the company and its subsidiaries. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements for Digicash and its subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Consolidation of Financial Results:
- Manage the consolidation process of financial results across all subsidiaries.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in reporting.
Financial Controls & Procedures:
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Safeguard company assets and optimize resource utilization.
Tax Compliance & Audit Coordination:
- Oversee all tax compliance matters.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
Strategic Financial Insights:
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights supporting strategic decisions and business growth.
Budget Management:
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Other Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is a MUST
- Minimum of 2-3 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in a group or multinational setting and/or payments/fintech space.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
