Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Officer to manage and coordinate HR functions withinour transport company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, trainingand development, compliance, and performance management in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Coordinate hiring processes for drivers, logistics personnel, mechanics, and administrative staff.
- Conduct background checks and validate professional driving credentials.
- Work with department heads to identify staffing needs.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment among staff and drivers.
- Address and resolve employee concerns, disputes, and grievances in a timely manner.
- Organize staff welfare programs and team-building initiatives.
3HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and updated personnel records.
- Manage employee contracts, leave records, and attendance.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
Training & Development:
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training for drivers (e.g. safety, defensive driving) and other staff.
- Monitor driver performance and compliance with transport regulations.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and transport industry regulations.
- Collaborate with the safety department to enforce health and safety practices. Performance Management:
- Implement and oversee performance appraisal systems.
- Provide support for career development and succession planning.
Other Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in transport/logistics or a related industry.
- Knowledge of labor laws, transport regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
