Main Duties

Job Overview:

• The Key Account Manager (KAM)  will be responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives for refurbished devices through established telecom retail chains.
• The role requires strategic leadership in managing relationships  with retail store managers  to ensure optimum stock availability, effective training of sales staff, and achieving sales targets while ensuring company  maintains a leading market share.

 Key Responsibilities: 

Sales & Marketing Strategy:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to promote the sell-out of Badili refurbished devices across telecom retail chains.
• Ensure high availability and visibility of Badili stock at all telecom partner stores.
• Lead in planning, implementing, and executing channel-specific marketing initiatives.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom store managers and key decision-makers.
• Ensure continuous engagement with retail partners to maximize cooperation and performance.

Sales Training & Development:

• Oversee the training of store sales staff to ensure they are well-versed in Badili’s product offerings, features, and benefits.
• Provide ongoing support and motivation to in-store promoters, guiding them in reaching performance objectives.

Market Analysis & Growth:

• Identify high-sales-potential outlets and focus on increasing Badili’s market share.
• Lead efforts in analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adapt strategies for maximum growth.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure smooth execution of sales transactions, inventory management, order tracking, and after-sales services.
• Manage returns, refunds, and customer service feedback processes.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of sales promoters across telecom stores, ensuring high- performance standards.
• Set and monitor team goals, providing continuous coaching and feedback.

Reporting & Travel:

• Regularly visit stores to monitor sales performance and ensure availability of stock.
• Travel to telecom stores outside of Dar es Salaam to ensure consistent performance across regions.
• Provide timely reports on sales performance, market trends, and promotional effectiveness.

Revenue & Profit Accountability:

• Meet and exceed sales and profit targets set for each telecom store, working to maximize ROI from store partnerships.
• Drive effective business planning with key operators, focusing on yearly, quarterly, and monthly sales activations.

Brand Visibility:

• Plan and oversee the implementation of branded retail installations and ensure Badili’s brand voice is prominent in partner stores.

Other Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in account management, telecom retail, 
• or consumer electronics sales.
• Strong leadership and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage multiple retail accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel across Tanzania as needed.
