Main Duties
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for road construction projects.
- Conduct material take-offs and quantity measurements based on project drawings.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor project costs and prepare progress reports, ensuring alignment with budgets.
- Assess variations and claims, negotiating with contractors when necessary.
- Conduct site visits to verify completed work and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to optimize cost control strategies.
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, local regulations, and industry standards.
Other Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in road construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
