Job Outline
- Functional Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a highly challenging position that involves supervision and instruction of the sales function within the financial constraints of the budget and in line with the company / sites aims and objectives, customer service requirements and operating principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the sales team to achieve targets and meet sales goals
- Train, coach, and mentor sales associates to enhance their product knowledge and sales techniques
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement strategies
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business
- Collaborate with the management team to set sales targets and contribute to overall business goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and sales strategies
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities
Other Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales role, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position is advantageous
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of sales techniques, customer service principles, and product knowledge
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive sales performance
- Results-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
- The ideal candidate should have a passion for sales, a proactive approach to leadership, and the ability to inspire and drive a high-performing sales team
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc, Business Management or Social Studies from a recognised University.
