Main Duties

Job Scope

• The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for quality assurance activities to ensure quality standards; is also responsible for ensuring that quality targets are met through consistent quality compliance.

Primary Tasks

• Identify and supervise segregation of Non –conforming products.
• Ensure quality control activities are performed in a safe way
• Direct and control all quality staff to ensure that they are properly motivated, trained and developed, and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and in accordance with health, safety standards.
• Schedule and co-ordinate all aspect of quality operations, such as test plans, reports and quality criteria to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Make monthly working schedule for quality engineers and technicians
• Implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that quality equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum quality standards.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term plans to ensure that the factory has the necessary quality resources to meet business quality objectives.
• Make sure ISO 9001 and 14001 implemented within the quality department.
• Make sure all routine and non-routine testing of products conducted as per procedures
• Make sure all incoming materials inspected before use
• Make sure the test devices and equipments are calibrated on time
• Report any fault device and equipment on time to avoid extension of down time
• Supervise the quality team to make proper products inspection and classification
• Make sure produced products meet TBS specifications
• Make sure we are complying with TBS standards
• Supervise the quality team to achieve the required objectives
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report for quality performance of CRM, MCL, MCL-RF and colour plus
• Make sure UD for products produced are posted online
• Make sure product care is implemented for all materials on production line and warehouses
• Handle customer complaints
• Conduct RCA for three major defects caused products to be HOLD and classified as second
• Ensure online UD for products produced in any work center done
• Ensure UD for any backlog in SAP is assigned to someone and done
• Ensure incoming materials and customer complaints inspection done and report documented timely physically and in SAP
• Conduct materials quality survey in storage location physically and in SAP
• Ensure weight variance verification done physical and in SAP
• Train all laboratory technicians and quality engineers time to time to maintain process and products awareness
• Participate fully in RCA processes as assigned from time to time
• Perform any other related duties as Management may require from time to time

Other Requirements

Qualification and Competencies

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical and Processes, Mineral, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Metallurgy with 6 years of experience
• Registered with ERB
• Excellent Communication skills, Analytical skills, Problem solving skills and planning & organizing skills
• Basic computer literal (Excel, word etc)
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across teams internally and externally
• Excellent personal organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• High energy, personal presence, and maturity; demonstrated ability to innovate and support change
• Able to work extend hours in critical situations.

• Provides Budget input information to QSHE Manager
• Can provide Quality or Production input for decision making
