Main Duties
Summary:
- Tandoor Chef Trainee will assist senior chefs, learn to operate tandoor equipment, and support daily kitchen operations. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a professional hospitality environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of traditional tandoori dishes.
- Learn and maintain proper use of tandoor oven and equipment.
- Ensure food is prepared in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs to kitchen supervisor.
- Participate in food preparation for events and special functions as required.
Other Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Certificate in Food and beverage, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Culinary or previous kitchen experience is an advantage.
- Strong interest in tandoor cooking.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
