About the Role
- Our client is looking to hire a competent and mature Workshop Manager (Motor Vehicle) to lead and oversee the company’s motor vehicle maintenance workshop.
- The ideal candidate will be a local Indian professional aged 40–45 years, with extensive hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, coupled with the ability to prepare detailed analytical reports and present them to management and the Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the motor vehicle workshop, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and lead repair and maintenance activities.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules to maximize fleet performance and minimize downtime.
- Supervise, train, and manage workshop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Monitor costs, spare parts inventory, and workshop budgets.
- Prepare, analyze, and present technical and analytical reports to management and the Board.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
- Recommend improvements in workshop processes, equipment, and technology.
Other Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 - 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Proven hands-on expertise in motor vehicle repair and maintenance
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed technical and analytical reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of workshop safety standards, best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Candidates who can Communicate in Hindi, Gujarati or Urdu are highly preferred.
