Main Duties

 JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for selling products and meeting customer needs while obtaining orders from existing or potential sales outlets. They ensure that the customer is satisfied and adequately taken care of while making a purchase.

Regular Duties

DESCRIPTION F DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure sales targets for allocated routes or mini-shops are achieved.
• Look for new markets and work to achieve new customers.
• Make sure all goods reach their respective customers in the right quantities and all delivery notes/invoices are acknowledged by the customer (signed and stamped as required).
• Make sure that all crates are collected and returned to the bakery.
• Confirm payments with the customer and reconcile the day sales with the cashier.
• Checking and inspecting items to be loaded by assisting in the recheck before loading.
• Inspection of items to ensure the goods have valid expiry dates to avoid market returns.
• Assist in off-loading consignments.
• Receive all market returns and ensure proper receiving documentation.
• Ensure items are loaded properly to avoid damages, breakages and compromising of quality.
• Report customer feedback.
• Receive and communicate new orders to the bakery.
• Ensure that the vehicle door is always locked.
• Ensure that the sales money is deposited in the safe box.
• Ensure that all customers are issued with EFD receipts as per legal requirements.
• Ensure that EFD receipts are issued with the correct sales price and quantity.
• Generate Z-reports and reconcile with sales proceeds.
• Ensure that the EFD machine is used for sales of company products only.
• Report any mechanical problems with the EFD machines whenever it happens.
• Ensure the machine is fully charged before starting the route.
• Report immediately any errors noted when issuing receipts and retain the original error receipts.
• Ensure there is a manual receipt book in the vehicle at all times.
• Ensure proper handling of EFD machines.
• Ensure safe keeping and handling of cash in Mini Shops.
• Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
• Keep the mini shop clean and hygienic all the time.
• Ensure required licenses displayed in the mini shop are in place.
• Cooperate and allow persons appointed by the company to do random checks in sales and vans and mini shops.
• Not to allow any unauthorized goods to be loaded in the sales vehicle assigned.

• Other duties /assignments that management may allocate from time to time

Other Requirements

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE 

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing, communications, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 Year of experience in Sales and Marketing (preferably in the manufacturing industry)

 KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

• Must have good knowledge of the use of EFD machines and regulations governing the use of the machines.
• Must have good knowledge of Dar es Salaam and its outskirts.
• Must have good knowledge of English and Swahili (verbal and written).
• Driving skills and holder of a valid driving license class D, C, and E.
• Additional knowledge of driving Toyo, Gutas bajaji, and motorbike is an added advantage.
• Assertive and good negotiation skills.
• Creative, innovative, and Analytical with good numerical skills.
• Be result-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• High degree of integrity and strong ethics. 
• Must be a Tanzania citizen
